London, UK; 7th April 2020. Career progression platform PushFar has raised a £250k Seed Round from several private investors to bolster its sales and marketing output and hire additional team members.
The career progression platform offers an easy and cost-effective way to setup, run and report on mentoring. Features include mentor matching, mentor relationship management and mentor reporting, but the platform goes much further than mentoring alone by helping individuals and organisations across all aspects of career progression. It offers highly personalised professional event recommendations, job listings and networking opportunities, among other features.
In its first year the platform attracted more than 18,000 users and secured partnerships with companies including Arbuthnot Latham, Itsu, Queen Mary University, the University of East London, the Professional Women’s Network, a major international supermarket and WaterAid.
Ed Johnson, PushFar CEO and co-Founder of PushFar, said: “We’ve been astounded by the responses we’ve gathered from the platform. While it was borne from my own experiences of not being able to find a mentor, it wasn’t until Gabriel and I started talking to people and companies that we realised just how pervasive the problem was across all businesses.”
CTO and co-Founder Gabriel Sirbu added: “We’ve released scores of new features and updates across our platform, since launch in reaction to feedback from both users and companies in order to provide the best possible solution. This Seed Round gives us the ability to bring in four new hires to the team and really push our sales and marketing outreach so we can expand into more sectors and territories. It’s exciting to see how the platform will grow in the next one, two and three years, as we see rules around employment and careers constantly evolve.”
